Born and raised in New Iberia, LA, Marcus had spent his early years listening to the vivid stories from his grandmother Alice (Chut) Armstead Theodile. Marcus spent most of his summers with his grandparents enjoying the country life as a young boy. He always had a kind word of encouragement, even as a child.
Marcus left New Iberia in 1992 to attend Dillard University in New Orleans, LA. He studied Accounting and Business Management, as a student at the University. However, he could not escape the allure of storytelling and quickly began studying to become an author and inspirational speaker. He began by reading every chance he had and writing inspirational words via the internet. Once he began writing, he never stopped. It quickly became his passion in life.
Marcus moved to Lake Charles, LA and earned his BA in Business Management from McNeese State University. He went on to attend Throne of Grace Fellowship Church in Lake Charles, LA . Under the leadership of Dr. Wilton J. Red he was ordained as a minister and served on staff as the Youth Pastor for three years.
From there Marcus decided to move to Dallas, where he could explore life, study people, and listen to their stories. "I became a student of life", he recalls. Marcus has since moved back closer to home. He now resides in Lafayette, LA with his wife of 12 years and his two daughters. Marcus inspires thousands by writing daily inspirations via the internet. His first book Destination Destiny: "Discovering Your Destiny in the Midst of Life Disappointments" will inspire you, challenge you and motivate you to become all that you were created to be!
Marcus is currently scheduling his book signing and inspirational speaking tour and would love to come to a city near you. Please feel free to enter your information on the Contact section and a representative from his staff will contact you with more information.
Marcus is now putting the finishing touches on his second book. Destination Destiny: "Daily Inspirations" This book was written to inspire you to go after your destiny each and every day!
This is a comment from one of his loyal readers at a recent book signing, "Once you read one, you have to read all of his books".
